A marketing expert with over eighteen years of professional communications experience in a broad range of mediums and applications, Andrew Fairbanks combines a background as a trained architect with fifteen years experience as a strategic marketer and branding executive for financial companies, hospitality, and higher education for such companies as Performant Financial, Marriott International, Education Management Corporation, and University of California.
Over the last several years, he has presented communication, media and sales development plans as well as the application of branding and cross-selling strategies. Recently, he has begun to work with clients directly to build strategic marketing capability, develop new products, improve sales efficiency and deliver marketing support through a network of suppliers.
Clients and projects have included ESPN X Games, Charles Schwab, NBA, Columbia Pictures, Government of Mongolia, and PEAT International a leading alternative energy developer. Mr. Fairbanks has a broad range of experience in Marketing and Communications. He has worked as a spokesperson, marketing manager, speechwriter, art director, producer, director, and even, for a client, appeared on national television. As the acting Director of Marketing for Performant Financial, in addition to managing branding, PR, internal communications and advertising activities, he organized marketing for four business divisions and increased cross-sell to over 15% of total annual business, and transformed the company web site to a database driven marketing, cross-selling and information tool. At Art Institutes, he was the director of public relations, where he directed advertising, public relations and web development for the school. He successfully placed story ideas to national TV, & trade press (ZDTV, LA Times, Washington Post).
