David Smith possesses more than 20 years of real estate, business management, financial management, sales, and business development experience as a developer, a project manager, sales leader, systems analysis, and as Hitman Records, Inc. CFO.
As a project manager and real estate developer he has overseen site selection, acquisition, design and development for projects valued at over $850 million throughout the Western U.S. Mr. Smith has led feasibility studies, environmental impact reports and economic studies that forecast return & benefit for investors, community stakeholders and local governments. His specific areas of expertise include: Capital Budgeting & Forecast Accuracy, Risk Analysis , Government Relations, Community and Economic Development, Municipal Review, Permit & Inspection Processing, Construction Scheduling & Supervision, Sales Development, Systems Analysis, Finance & Dept Structure, & Return Scenarios. Mr. Smith has worked with merchant homebuilders such as Toll Brothers and was VP of Verizon Business Systems' data center group, where he managed the deployment of high tech data centers throughout the Western United States. Mr. Smith created the tenant improvement budget and development timeline based on demand from the various business units within Verizon. Throughout his career, he has managed entitlements, utility contracts and construction activities to achieve benchmarks set by corporate finance departments and the investment community. David earned his Bachelor's Degree in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania in 1989. He is also a member of the Redwood City Planning Commission, Society of American Military Engineers, and Rotary Club International.
